PEACHTREE PARK NATURE TRAIL

Donated by a builder when Darlington Commons was under construction, the Peachtree Park Nature Trail is a one-acre walking/nature trail between the end of Burke Road and Darlington Circle at Darlington Commons Court. The Peachtree Park Nature Trail is bordered with split rails and covered with natural wood mulch. Along the nature trail informational signs identifying the plant life and trees, as well as birdwatching spots are present so that visitors can stop, learn and listen. Workout stations allow for exercising within nature. There’s even a picnic area for you to rest and enjoy a snack or picnic lunch. It’s a great place for walking the dog, pushing the stroller, jogging or enjoying nature.

The Trail is maintained by volunteers and we are always looking for all nature loving, tree hugging, green space advocates to help us continue to develop the trail.

Friends of Peachtree Park is in the process of removing invasive plants (such as English ivy, which kills trees) from the Nature Trail. We are replacing these invasives with native plants (including trees, vines, shrubs, ferns and grasses). If you have extra examples of any of these plants you would like to contribute, please text Becky Owens at 404-977-6232.
